Go here to get a free pell grant (you don’t have to pay it back). I said before my kid & I got them because we lived in public housing/etc. but the fact is I also got one back when I was a single working mom…& I made $8/$9 an hour. So please don’t let the fact that you work keep you from trying to get one. The worst they can tell you is no.
